Northern Berkshire Community Coalition April Forum

April 14, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Creating Community
9 to 5 and 5 to 9

The Northern Berkshire Community Coalition will once again gather together to discuss important issues facing its residents at our monthly forum.

Engaging in your community, either by volunteering, spreading awareness for local causes or simply supporting a local business or art exhibit, isn’t only an amazing way to connect and help those in need, but it gives you an increased sense of purpose, and pride!
Here’s what to expect:
  • Participate in an out-of-the-box conversation about community organizing and engagement.
  • Learn about community organizing and engagement basics and the difference between them.
  • Learn how you can be as passionate about engaging with your community as you are with your work.
  • Learn about nbCC’s Community Outreach Training Program, a program to train the natural leaders in our community to educate and advocate for their neighbors.
We look to community members from all walks of life for this important Coalition meeting. The first half of the forum will be devoted to introductions and announcements and please bring your flyers for distribution. For more info about this forum, contact Glenda Matos-Carter at nbCC, (413) 663-7588.
Please note: The organizers of the Friendship Center Food Pantry ask friends who attend the nbCC forums throughout the year to please bring a healthy non-perishable food item for donation.
